About
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science - Physical Education
This Physical Education major, leading to EC-A licensure, adheres to the University of Wisconsin-Superior Educational Leadership Department's certification guidelines. Students pursuing certification follow a structured sequence of Physical Education and Teacher Education courses.
The introductory course, HHP 110, provides a comprehensive overview of program requirements. Upper-level coursework from both departments is mandatory. Dedicated HHP advisors collaborate with students to create individualized plans, ensuring timely degree completion.
Our program offers valuable hands-on experience. Students engage in observations, build professional relationships with local educators, conduct fitness assessments, participate in I-Movie projects, and organize the annual Track-O-Rama event for Superior's 5th graders.
To broaden career prospects, students can pursue minors in Health Education, Coaching, or Exceptional Education. Earning additional certifications further enhances their marketability.
