Established in 1906, Surrey Schools (Surrey School District 36) is British Columbia's largest school district, boasting a rapidly growing student population and a remarkable diversity of over 195 languages. Governed by a publicly elected board of seven trustees, we serve over 80,000 students across 100+ elementary schools, 21 secondary schools, 5 learning centres, and 3 adult education centres, spanning the vibrant cities of Surrey and White Rock.

High Educational Standards
BC's education system consistently ranks among the world's best (PISA Rankings). While we don't require IELTS or TOEFL scores, a minimum language proficiency is expected for success in grades 10 and 11:
- Grade 10: Minimum IELTS 3 or TOEFL 30-40 (equivalent to a ‘Low-Developing’ 12.1-13.5 Surrey score).
- Grade 11: Minimum IELTS 4 or TOEFL 41-52 (equivalent to a ‘Developing’ 13.6-15.2 Surrey score).
